Snowmelt System at Main Avenue

Project Summary:

Main Avenue in Downtown Zeeland was reimagined to create a safer, more welcoming, and vibrant destination year-round. The streetscape was fully transformed with heated sidewalks, heated brick crosswalks, decorative planters, and new signage. The project also upgraded the stormwater drainage system to create a more resilient and sustainable corridor for the community.

Project Highlights:

• Main Avenue streetscape reconstruction was completed in November, 2024
• Moore & Bruggink provided site layout, grading, utility design, signage plans, and traffic control
• Access to local businesses was a critical concern during construction. M+B worked with the city to minimize traffic disruptions and maintain pedestrian access to businesses on Main Avenue at all times.
