MWEA Michigan Water Enviroment Association
John Racek, P.E., Project Manager for Moore & Bruggink Consulting Engineers, Grand Rapids, recently received the Outstanding Environmental Consultant Award from the Michigan Water Environmental Association (MWEA). This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated dedication to an employer and the MWEA, has excelled professionally and has publicly promoted the water environment profession. Racek has been the Project Manager of the recent successful $23 million Grandville Clean Water Plant improvement and expansion project.

Moore & Bruggink has worked with Montgomery County Regional Sewer District to design a new Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System with an innovative approach to treatment and re-use of the cleaned effluent water for an industrial process. I-196 Paving Award
The Asphalt Paving Association of Michigan selected I-196 from M-11 to Market Street to receive the 2011 Award of Excellence for Single Course Overlay projects. The award recognized the project for the high quality of work done by Michigan Paving and Materials Co. Moore and Bruggink provided construction engineering and inspection services for the owner, the Michigan Department of Transportation.
