Community Outreach
Since it’s founding in 1956, Moore+Bruggink has been committed to being a part of the fabric of the communities we serve. This has often involved outreach in the form of in-kind engineering services provided to some very exciting, community-building projects.
Insane Inflatable 5K
Moore+Bruggink sponsored a team at the Grand Rapids Insane Inflatable 5K. A portion of the proceeds went to help support the American Cancer Society.
WMEAC Grand River Clean Up River’s Edge Sponsor.
Helped sponsored the Mayor’s Grand River Clean Up, which had over 1,000 participants last year.
Kids Food Basket
Donor to the Kids Food Basket, which provides Meals to over 7,500 kids each weekday throughout West Michigan.
Arbor Day Reforest Riverside
Moore+Bruggink participated in the Arbor Day Reforest Riverside tree planting on April 29, 2013. This tree planting will help restore the tree canopy lost to Emerald Ash Borer in efforts to maintain and improve the Grand River’s water quality.
NextGen United Way Reading Corners
Moore+Bruggink participated in building Reading Corners thru NextGen United Way as part of their “Hooky Day” activities. These reading corners will be installed in Grand Rapids Public elementary schools and will serve as an inviting place for students and tutors to “read, share experiences and learn from one another.”
Veterans Home Grotto Park
Provided the site engineering for a relaxing, barrier-free park for veterans adjacent to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. The Grotto Restoration Project.
Habitat For Humanity
Provided site engineering for a local subdivision of this national low-income, home ownership building program.
Betty Van Andel Opera Center
Provided site engineering and owners representative services during the construction of this Opera Grand Rapids facility, the nations’s first LEED certified opera rehearsal hall and offices
Moore & Bruggink participates in United Way’s MLK Day Event
Moore & Bruggink participated in a United Way sponsored volunteer opportunity to help renovate the greenhouse at the Veteran’s Home in Grand Rapids. Activities included cleaning, repainting, renovating planter boxes, rebuilding shelves, and building handicapped accessible ramps in the greenhouse. West Michigan United Way.
