Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented Municipal/Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with specific expertise in municipal services. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and construction of municipal projects, including utilities, roadways, non-motorized trails, and storm water systems, ensuring compliance with City and other regulatory standards and guidelines. Engineer may act as the community’s “City Engineer” and review plans and advise City staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilities and Roadway Design: Collaborate with project teams to develop detailed designs and contract documents for utility and roadway corridor projects.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations governing wastewater treatment and ensure that all projects comply with relevant standards and permit requirements.
• Technical Analysis: Conduct thorough technical analyses, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to evaluate the performance and viability of proposed solutions.
• Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely completion and successful implementation of municipal projects.
• Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing technical expertise, addressing concerns, and delivering regular progress updates on municipal projects.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, engineering drawings, and documentation to support project proposals, permit applications, and compliance reporting.
• Project Controls: Ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams of engineers, surveyors, inspectors, and clients to find solutions for municipal design and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Five or more years of experience in general or specific civil engineering disciplines, with demonstrated expertise in municipal services and public works projects.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and storm water treatment modeling tools preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or eligibility for licensure preferred.

We are looking for a talented Water and Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer to join our team. Position Overview:
Join the Moore & Bruggink team as an Instrument Operator. You will utilize the latest Leica survey technology to assist with a diverse range of projects, including construction staking and boundary and topographic surveys. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills who is able to thrive in various outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of surveying tasks, including construction staking and boundary, ALTA, right-of-way, municipal, and topographic surveys.
• Operate and maintain Leica survey equipment (Total Stations, Robotics, GPS, Digital Levels, and Data Collectors).
• Collect and process survey data accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in the preparation of survey plans and reports.
• Maintain and calibrate survey equipment as needed.
• Work effectively, both independently and as part of a survey team.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols on all job sites.

Qualifications:

• Experience in operating survey equipment (preferred but not required).
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented, with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Proficient in data collection and processing software.

Qualifications:

• 5-15 years of progressive experience in site development engineering within a consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices related to site development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant design software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with storm water modeling software is desired but not required.
