Grand Rapids Firm’s Advanced Technologies Improve Capacity, Efficiency

WASHINGTON, DC (March 4, 2013)—Moore & Bruggink, Inc., of Grand Rapids, Mich., has earned a National Recognition Award for exemplary engineering achievement in the American Council of Engineering Companies’ (ACEC) 47th annual Engineering Excellence Awards for the Grandville Clean Water Plant Expansion and Renovation Project in Grandville, Mich.

City of Grandville wins 2012 Community Excellence Award

The engineering firm of Moore & Bruggink, Inc. partnered with the city of Grandville to expand its clean water treatment plant.

GRANDVILLE, MI – The city’s award-winning sewer plant expansion is featured on the cover of the January/February issue of “the review,” the Michigan Municipal League’s magazine. The cover photograph shows Grandville City Manager Ken Krombeen, Clean Water Plant Superintendent Todd Wibright and two Moore & Bruggink, Inc. engineers who worked with the city on the $23 million project.

City of Grandville receives state Community Excellence Award for Clean Water Plant expansion

The City of Grandville is the winner of this year's Community Excellence Award from the Michigan Municipal League.

MWEA Michigan Water Enviroment Association

John Racek, P.E., Project Manager for Moore & Bruggink Consulting Engineers, Grand Rapids, recently received the Outstanding Environmental Consultant Award from the Michigan Water Environmental Association (MWEA). This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated dedication to an employer and the MWEA, has excelled professionally and has publicly promoted the water environment profession. Racek has been the Project Manager of the recent successful $23 million Grandville Clean Water Plant improvement and expansion project.


Moore & Bruggink has worked with Montgomery County Regional Sewer District to design a new Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System with an innovative approach to treatment and re-use of the cleaned effluent water for an industrial process. I-196 Paving Award

The Asphalt Paving Association of Michigan selected I-196 from M-11 to Market Street to receive the 2011 Award of Excellence for Single Course Overlay projects. The award recognized the project for the high quality of work done by Michigan Paving and Materials Co. Moore and Bruggink provided construction engineering and inspection services for the owner, the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Brian Hannon, P.E. from Moore &Bruggink, Inc. was awarded the New Professional of the Year award from the Michigan Water Environmental Association. This award recognizes outstanding dedication and commitment to the objectives of the Michigan Water Environmental Association by an individual who has been in the water environment profession for less than 10 years.

Brian Hannon, P.E. a Project Engineer at Moore & Bruggink Consulting Engineers, has been named as the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers' "Young Engineer of the Year" for 2010. This prestigious MSPE award is in recognition of outstanding leadership, achievements and contributions to engineering, professionalism, community and MSPE. He will be honored at the MSPE Annual Conference.
