One of the ferric chloride bulk storage tanks at the Grandville CWP had a failure during a product fill. This project entailed demolition of the existing chemical building containment, superstructure, and ferric chloride bulk tanks in order to make improvement to the facility. Improvements included new, larger fiberglass ferric chloride bulk storage tanks, a larger containment area with better and safer accessibility, and a new addition to the building to house the tanks and equipment. Ventilation was improved to prevent corrosion due to the aggressive nature of the ferric chloride. The existing building was re-roofed to extend its useful life.
