Plans and Specifications may be obtained after 4 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2018, at the office of Moore & Bruggink, Inc., upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $90.00. An additional non-refundable fee of $25.00 will be charged if the Contractor requests these Documents be mailed. Plans and Specifications are also available at our online Planroom at www.mbce.com/planroom. Hard copies of the drawings may be purchased separately for $80.00 by Moore & Bruggink Online Planroom members.

The bidder must supply the email address of the individual or firm to whom addenda (if any) can be directed.

Representatives of the Owner will be present to discuss the Project. The Project Representative will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as the Project Representative considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective.

Submission of Bids
Bid shall be received no later than the date and time prescribed and at the place indicated above.

1.01 Bids shall be enclosed in a plainly marked package with the Project title, the name and address of Bidder, and other required documents. If a Bid is sent by mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the Bid shall be enclosed in a separate package plainly marked on the outside with the notation “BID ENCLOSED.” A mailed Bid shall be addressed to:

1.02 Bids shall not submitted via email.

1.03 Bids received after the date and time prescribed for the opening of bids, or not submitted at the correct location or in the designated manner, will not be accepted.

1.04 Bids will be opened at the time and place indicated in the advertisement and, unless obviously non-responsive, the names of the Bidders and the Bid Amounts read aloud publicly. Upon request to the Project Representative. A tabulation of the amounts of the base Bids and major alternates, if any, will be made available to Bidders after the opening of Bids.

1.05 All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for the period of time stated in the Bid Form, but Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior (if applicable) to the end of this period.

The right is reserved by Owner to accept any Bid, to reject any Bid, and to waive irregularities in Bids.

Owner will not engage in unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, marital status, or unrelated disability. Bids from minority- and female-owned organizations are encouraged.

No Bids may be withdrawn after the above date and time for receiving Bids for a period of ninety (90) days.

A Proposal Guarantee payable to the Holland Board of Public Works, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, must accompany the Proposal in accordance with the Information for Bidders.

Item Quantity Summary

The Work consists of:
Demolish existing pumps, pump bases, all controls, all electrical within drywell, drywell piping, drywell discharge valves, HVAC, sump pump, and cut back influent/effluent piping as needed. Remove existing cathodic protection system and install a new impressed current cathodic protection system. Construct control building, retaining wall, and concrete pad on lift station site. Heavy clean & televise last 500 ft. of 18” forcemain from discharge manhole. Rewire generator for 277/480 VAC, 3 phase output. Coordinate modification of pump base plates as required with pump supplier. Install three new pumps, new fabricated bases, piping, valves, sump pump, controls within building, and all appurtenant work necessary for a complete and functional project.
